Khejdi Community Library
The Khejdi Community Library grows from the same soil as our work at Khejdi – A Community Mental Health Initiative — one that believes healing, learning, and belonging flourish in community.
Just like the Khejdi tree that offers shade and sustenance in the desert, this library is envisioned as a nurturing space — for minds, stories, and silences alike. It’s not only a place to read books, but to share reflections, exchange lived wisdom, and build a collective memory of our people, our city, and our times.
Rooted in the values that shape Khejdi’s work — accessibility, empathy, dialogue, and connection — this community library hopes to become a living, breathing space where knowledge is not confined to pages, but extends into conversations, experiences, and everyday life.
